How do I copy and print in the library?

Copying

A public-use photocopier is on the lower level of the Anderson Academic Commons, in the north-west corner of the stacks. Copies cost 10 cents per side; if you make a double-sided copy, the total cost will be 20 cents. You may use either your DU ID card or a copy card to pay for your copies. If you pay with your DU ID, the cost will be deducted from your Flex account.

Printing

There are seven black and white printers and two color printers in the AAC. The printers are easy to find, as they are located in the blue alcoves on the west and east side of every floor in the building. (The two color printers are on the west side of the building on the main and upper levels.)

As with copying, you need to use either your DU ID or a copy card to pay for printing. Each quarter, a printing allowance of 300 pages is automatically applied to your ID card. If you need to print more than 300 pages per quarter, the cost of printing will be deducted from your Flex account. This website details the printing costs for black and white and color print jobs.

Money for Copying and Printing

If you need to add money to your Flex account, you may use the Value Transfer Station (VTS) near the Research Center on the main level of the AAC or use one of the other methods listed on the Pioneer Card website. You can also use the VTS to purchase reusable copy cards, which cost 50 cents each. This cost will be deducted from the initial deposit that you add to the copy card. Remember, the VTS stations only accept bills; credit cards or coins cannot be used.
